Spirits of the Wind is a collaboration between Cloud Orchid Publishing and established author Brendan Detzner.  His novella Spirits of the Wind recaptures the glory days of the original Velvet Lounge in the Chicago South Loop.  The story takes the reader into the underground of the jazz world, and offers up an incredible slice of local history.

Photos by Byan Thompson of Graffiti Photographic bring colour to the novella, showcasing the raw talent of the Jazz greats like Von Freeman and Dee Alexander.  These photos are featured from twelves years of festivals attended by Bryan.
